Before committing capital to improvements, it's important to consult with someone who has experience and a clear understanding of which features of a rental property will appeal to tenants the most and which improvements will result in the highest return on investment. DPM can render an opinion on proposed improvements before a project is initiated.

Choosing appropriate professionals to complete a project is as important as choosing a project that is appropriate for the property. DPM employs and works with professionals who can complete improvement projects such as flooring, carpentry and interior framing, dry wall installation and repair, trim/moulding installation, kitchen and bath remodels, basement waterproofing, HVAC, landscaping, hardscaping and masonry.

To avoid a conflict of interest, DPM does not receive compensation from its business associates for work performed at clients' properties. Instead, an explicit project management fee is agreed upon between DPM and its clients for projects that fall outside of the scope of responsibilities covered by the monthly property management fees.
